About the Author

I'm Sean Hsieh, Founder & CEO of Runline AI.

Before Runline, I spent a decade building infrastructure — telecom systems for Fortune 500 companies, then Concreit, an SEC-regulated real estate investment platform that navigated FINRA compliance, SEC reporting, and the operational complexity of managing regulated financial products at scale.

Then I walked into a credit union's back office and watched a compliance analyst toggle between six separate systems to investigate a single suspicious transaction. She'd been doing it for 22 years. She was extraordinarily good at it. And she was drowning.

That moment led to Runline. We build AI agent infrastructure specifically for credit unions — purpose-built agents that automate compliance, lending, member services, and back-office operations. Not chatbots. Not dashboards. Agents that do real work, under human oversight, with full audit trails.

These articles are lessons learned from building at the intersection of AI and regulated financial services. They cover architecture decisions, compliance implications, workforce strategy, pricing models, and the patterns we've discovered deploying AI in one of the most regulated industries in the United States.
